The genetic origins of the “classic” Amnesia Haze variant come from crossing several varieties of native plants from Asia and Jamaica.
Native plants, due to their “pure” genetics, are generally used for the hybridization of other marijuana plants.
When Amnesia Haze crossed with the native plant Ruderalis, the autoflowering properties of the latter were passed on, resulting in the Amnesia Haze Autoflower variant.
By crossbreeding Amnesia Haze with the native Ruderalis plant, it was possible to retain all the unique effects and flavors of the original variant, but by modifying the plant’s growth time and other structural characteristics.

As the name suggests, Photoperiodic refers to growth that does not follow the normal sunlight cycle.
Instead, the plant will have to spend varying periods of light exposure.
For this reason, the flowering time and effort required to grow Amnesia Haze are much higher.
The effort, however, is repaid later thanks to a generally very abundant and top-quality harvest, far superior to the Autoflowering variant.

With Amnesia Haze autoflower, unfortunately, the quality of the weed you get from the harvest is lower.
This is the price to pay if you want to shorten the growing time and simplify the growing process.
What makes the process extremely easier is that this type of plant grows on its own, taking on the amount of light it receives, typically depending on its environment.
Amnesia Haze Autoflower does not exceed 100-150 cm in height, a handy feature if you want to grow this plant indoors, having limited space available.
The yield for outdoor and indoor plants is around 200- 350 g/m², depending on sun exposure.
Starting from a tiny seed, Amnesia Haze autoflower grows in about 8- 10 weeks.
After this period, its foliage will be rich in buds and thus ready for harvest.
If you don’t have much experience growing Marijuana plants, Amnesia Haze Autoflower is the perfect variety to start with.
In this section, we will go through this plant’s growth processes step by step, going from the germination stage to flowering and harvesting at the end of week 10.
Let’s get started!
STEP 1. THE SEED
Take your tiny seed and let it soak in a glass of water for about 36 hours until you see a small root emerge from the shell.
STEP 2. THE POTTING SOIL
The choice of potting soil at this point is crucial.
Buy in specialty stores a potting soil mixture that consists of lots of nutrients and a layer of nitrogen-rich earthworm humus that you will need to line the bottom.
STEP 4. THE RECIPIENT.
Purchase an “Air-Pot” pot of medium capacity, about 9 liters.
STEP 5. THE STRATIFICATION
Place a generous layer of earthworm humus at the bottom of the pot, followed by the potting soil mixture it has acquired, until the pot is ¾ full.
STEP 6. WATERING.
To avoid excess or deficiency of water, the plant should be watered only when the soil feels dry to the touch.
To check this, dip a finger under the soil to a depth of 2-3cm.
Be careful not to overdo the amount of water when watering it.
The soil should not float but only remain moist.
As the plant grows, it will need more and more water, especially if it is exposed for many hours to sunlight or under Led lamps.
Since Amnesia Haze is an autoflowering strain, it does not require a change in the light cycle to trigger flowering.
STEP 7. EXPOSURE.
You can leave your plant outdoors (on the balcony or in the garden) in a spot where it receives enough sunlight or purchase 100W LED lamps to illuminate your plant throughout the growth phase.
Either way, Amnesia Haze Autoflower will grow on schedule.
THE FIRST LEAVES
After 4 to 5 days from the Potting and Lighting stage, you will see cotyledonary leaflets sprouting.
Cotyledonary leaves quickly emerge from the soil after a few days.
This event marks the beginning of the vegetative phase, which will continue until the plant has reached maturity.
Being an accelerated growth type of plant, the vegetative phase of Amnesia Haze will be short (approximately to last four weeks).
After the first Cotyledonary leaves emerge, you will notice a general increase in plant size and the appearance of fan leaves.
After about six weeks, the plant will generate its first flowers.
A week later, these will have grown in size and appear large and resinous, turning into actual mature buds.
STEP 8. TRIMMING
If you don’t have them, get some trimming shears and prepare for the defoliation stage.
Cut all fan-shaped leaves that appear yellowed and old from the main stem.
Be very careful not to cut off the stem or flowers.
By the time the plant has reached its tenth week, the buds, now at the end of their growth cycle, will be plump, resinous, and filled with trichomes.
At this point, it will be time to wash the roots.
STEP 9. CLEANING
Soak the soil twice each time it becomes dry, and wait for the water to drain to the roots.
This procedure should be repeated over a single day and will make a difference in how you feel while taking it.
Washing the roots will make the herb less irritating to the throat, preventing a dry feeling.
When half of the pistils turn orange, and most of the trichomes appear opaque white, your plant has finally reached full maturity.
The drying phase reduces the water content by 10-15%.
Freshly harvested buds have a high amount of water inside them, which is best removed before you can use them.
Smoking fresh buds are virtually impossible; the herb would struggle to burn and produce a bitter taste.
Removing the moisture inside changes the flavor and also the effects.
STEP 10. THE LAST STEP.
Place the individual tops on a drying rack and expose them to the sun until they are dehydrated.
When you are sure that all the one has appropriately evaporated, place the inflorescences in wide glass jars.
Open the jars once a day so that the flowers can receive an exchange of air.
At the end of the first week, it is sufficient to open them every two days.
After about three weeks your buds will have dried perfectly and be ready for use.
